LG OLED evo G4 wall mount specs: VESA and weight for every size

The LG G4 comes in 55, 65, 77, 83 and 97". The VESA pattern depends on the size: 300 × 200 mm on the 55", 300 × 300 mm on the 65 and 77", 400 × 400 mm on the 83" and 600 × 400 mm on the 97". Without the stand it weighs 39.5 to 126.8 lb; the table has the screws and the US model number for each size.

The LG G4 against its lineup

9 of the 35 LG 65" models from 2024 to 2026 use 300 × 300 mm. The others use 300 × 200 (21), 400 × 400 (2), 400 × 300 (2) and 400 × 200 (1). 2 of them weigh more than this one. At 52.5 lb it is about 12% heavier than the 47 lb typical of 65" panels, so read the weight rating before the size range.

What changed from the 2023 LG G3

77": 300 × 300 mm and 81.1 lb on the G3, 300 × 300 mm and 82.5 lb now — the holes line up, check the old mount's weight rating.
97": 600 × 400 mm and 123.5 lb on the G2, 600 × 400 mm and 126.8 lb now — the holes line up, check the old mount's weight rating.

On the 55, 65 and 83" nothing changed from the G3: the old mount fits.

Screws, studs and height

LG lists different screws by size — the table above has each one. Use the screws with that thread from the bracket's kit, and stop if one bottoms out before the plate is tight: a spacer fixes that, force does not.

55, 65 and 77": The holes are 11.8" apart side to side; the wall plate of the bracket, not the TV, has to reach the studs.

83": The holes are 15.7" apart side to side, close to 16" stud spacing, so the mount's arms and the studs line up easily.

97": The holes are 23.6" apart side to side, wider than 16" stud spacing — pick a bracket whose wall plate spans the studs.

With the centre at 42" for sofa seating, a 65" screen runs from about 26" to 58" off the floor. In a bedroom the centre goes 42–50". Work it out for your own seat →

Will a mount from the 2023 G3 fit the LG G4?

On every size listed for both, the pattern is the same, so it bolts on. Check the weight rating against the new weight.

Can the LG G4 hang on drywall without studs?

No. Drywall alone is for TVs up to about 32" and 30 lb on rated anchors. The LG G4 starts at 55" and 39.5 lb, so it needs bolts in the studs, or masonry anchors in brick or concrete.
