Canton Mill Lofts apartment
The lease ruled out opening walls, so Vitalii anchored into the brick at seated eye level and painted a raceway to match.

Most Canton homes went up in the last twenty-five years, from Great Sky and Towne Mill to the new builds of Governors Preserve, while renters fill Canton Mill Lofts and the apartments by the Etowah. Vitalii's Cobb crew is in town most weeks, so same-day slots for bonus rooms, basements and loft walls usually open up.
TV mounting in Canton is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stone or plaster.
Stone fireplaces and accent walls get sleeve anchors in the stone faces, never the mortar joints, and a heat check above the firebox. Brick and stone.
Basements on hillside lots have concrete foundation walls toward the hill and framed walls toward the view. Masonry anchors on concrete, lag bolts on studs. Concrete walls.
Canton decks look out over the hills. Outdoor-rated TVs, stainless hardware and sealed cable entries go under a solid roof on the side sheltered from the wind. Outdoor TVs.
Restored brick buildings downtown host restaurants and shops. We anchor in the brick faces and run cables in painted raceways ($39) before opening.
13,255 homes and about 35,741 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.
56% owner-occupied · 44% rented
U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
Canton's median home dates to 2005, and 40.1% of its housing went up in the 2000s, so most TV walls we work on are drywall over wood studs, with builder outlets that rarely sit where the couch ends up. Sloped lots add a poured-concrete basement wall or two. Renters matter too: 44.4% of households rent, many in downtown apartments and the mill conversion, so raceway and small-hole mounts are a big share of our Canton calls.
Canton Mill Lofts is a converted historic mill with factory windows and ceilings of 20 to 35 feet. We set the TV at seated eye level, checked with our height tool, not halfway up the wall, and a paintable raceway ($39) keeps the lease happy.
Out in Governors Preserve, new construction means the TV usually lands in a bonus room or a terrace-level basement. On the buried side of the basement we drill past the drywall into the concrete itself. If you want cords gone, a listed in-wall power kit ($69) is the only way we put power behind drywall, never a bare TV cord.
Hickory Bluffs, the 55+ community built from 2020 to 2024, often puts a gas fireplace under the TV spot, so each job there starts with a 15-minute burn and a surface reading.

The mount is carpentry, but a new outlet behind the TV is electrical work, and in Canton it matters who issues the permit. Inside city limits the permit goes through the city's LAMA portal and Building & Safety Services at 110 Academy Street. Some Canton mailing addresses sit in unincorporated Cherokee County instead, which uses its own CityView portal. Have your electrician confirm the jurisdiction; we book the mount for after the outlet passes.
Downtown, the Canton Commercial Historic District, bounded by Main, Church, Archer and Marietta Streets, follows the Historic Preservation Commission's design guidelines. A TV inside a shop is outside that review; a screen on a storefront or street-facing patio is a question for the city first. For downtown businesses we arrive before the doors open and keep cable concealment to raceway the landlord approves.
A few jobs from the last months — the kind of walls and setups we see here most.

The game-room wall was the buried side, so Vitalii drilled through the drywall into the concrete and shimmed the plate flat.

The 15-minute burn read fine at the TV's bottom edge, but the scan found the gas pipe, so the plate moved to clear studs.
