The TCL Q5K against its lineup

1 of the 15 TCL 85" models from 2024 to 2026 use 600 × 300 mm. The others use 600 × 400 (9), 600 × 500 (4) and 400 × 400 (1). 14 of them weigh more than this one. At 57.3 lb it is about 38% lighter than the 92 lb typical of 85" panels.

Screws, studs and height

TCL lists M8 screws for the four holes. Use the screws with that thread from the bracket's kit, and stop if one bottoms out before the plate is tight: a spacer fixes that, force does not.

The holes are 23.6" apart side to side, wider than 16" stud spacing — pick a bracket whose wall plate spans the studs.

With the centre at 42" for sofa seating, a 85" screen runs from about 21" to 63" off the floor. In a bedroom the centre goes 42–50". Work it out for your own seat →
